One frame from my failed timelapse last night. Pinched this solid stone statue from outside our room and set it up on the heaviest damn concrete block used to hold the umbrellas up, all on the edge of the pool last night. Set my camera up on the tripod in the pool and spent ages in there getting my exposure dialed in and not getting any of the clutter surrounding the pool in the shot while hiding the temple behind the statue (it was blowing out regardless of using grad filters). Finally got it framed and exposure set, and then the moon started to rise and blew the stars/Milky Way out if the sky haha. And then my lens fogged over. I’ll keep trying !
Hoping to lord someone can help me with this fogging that’s happening. I can’t find any info on how to stop it yet, anyone experienced this in hot humid climates over night? It does cool down a bit over night. Please help! Left my bag outside last evening/night to try acclimatise my gear, took heaps of photos setting the timelapse up (like 3hrs), and then the same as other nights within 30min of starting TL the lens fogs up really bad. I have heard if guys using heat packs but thought that was in winter. Please help?!
View from our room last evening. Changed rooms tonight to something a little less interrupted and facing the temple across the valley, which I’ll use later tonight hopefully. @chrisrigoniphoto
Not having much luck so far. Wasn’t stoked on anything I got yesterday. There was heavy fog through the valley here last night and my lens and filters were fogging up badly and really quickly so couldn’t timelapse. Up at 5:30 this morning to get the sun rising through the valley and hoping it will work. I need to plan better, lessons learnt.
Day one, went for a trek down the river, got real sunburnt, found a couple leeches having a feed on my leg, timelapse remote went for a swim but luckily my camera stayed put and got rained on all arvo. But had heaps of fun and took lots of photos.
